After yesterdays tough loss where the Chicago Cubs could only produce 2 hits. The Cubs management sent a message by sending World Series Hero and fan favorite Kyle Schwarber to Triple A Iowa. Schwarber had been struggling for some time batting just .171,.295 OPS,.378 Slugging with 12 home runs, 28 RBI, 36 walks and 75 strikeouts in 261 plate appearances.

Starting Pitcher Jake Arrieta (7-5 4.36 ERA) pitched seven innings, allowing one run and six hits. He struck out three. Arrieta started the hit parade when he got an infield hit to drive in the first run of the ball game. It was Jake’s first of two base hits for the night. Maybe Jakes fresh shaved head had something to do with his new swagger? “You come to Miami, you know it’s going to be hot and humid,” Arrieta said. “And we’re going to Washington. The Chicago Cubs Bats came out of a deep slumber tonight. Addison Russell exploded for four hits, including a home run and 2 RBI. Ian Happ also had a career night with four hits and 2 RBI. Cubs third basemen Kris Bryant battling his way back from a miniature slump went 3-4 including a massive 427 foot Home run shot collecting 3 RBI. Combined the Cubs had 16 hits to beat the Fish 11-1.
