The Chicago Cubs new toy Jose Quintana did not disappoint in his debut. Quintana pitched seven innings gave up three hits and struck out twelve batters along the way. it seems the constant comment about the new Cubs hurler was he never got run support. “Honestly, sometimes I didn’t throw the ball well,” he said. “That happens. Sometimes you throw good games and don’t get support. Sometimes you get a lot of support and you don’t throw well. But that’s in the past for me now. My focus is here.” Well in his first game with his new team the offense went into “Launch Mode” to support their new teammate.

With newly acquired Chicago Cub starting pitcher Jose Quintana on the mound. The Chicago Cubs offense continued their assault on the Baltimore Orioles pitching staff. They started the series putting up eight runs early on Friday and having to rely on late inning heroics from Addison Russell to secure the W. The hit parade continued to circle the base paths on Saturday night as well. The Cubs behind former Orioles Jake Arrieta put up 10 runs and won their second game in a row 10-3. Today was no different as they blanked the O’s 8-0 to complete the series sweep.
