June 19, 1984 The Chicago Cubs defeat the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-3 as newly traded Cubs starter Rick Sutcliffe records his first victory with the team. This day would turn out to be one of the greatest in Chicago Sports history when the Chicago Bulls drafted Michael Jordan in the NBA draft.
