May 30, 1958, GM2 Lots of home runs at Wrigley Field as Gil Hodges & Don Zimmer homer for the Los Angeles Dodgers. For the Cubs, in the 4th inning with the Dodgers leading 7-1, Ernie Banks and “Moose Moryn” hit back to back home runs to cut lead to 7-3. In the 7th inning, the Chicago Cubs go back to back again when Moose Moryn hits his 2nd home run of the game and Chuck Tanner follows with another to tie the game 8-8. In the bottom of the ninth, Sandy Koufax comes into the game in relief and after Ernie Banks singles, Moose Moryn ends an amazing game with a 2-run, walk-off home run for a 10-8 Cubs victory.

In game 1 of this doubleheader, the Cubs also had a walk-off victory. the Cubs trailed in bottom of 9th inning 2-0. Moryn doubled home Ernie Banks with the tying run and scored the winning run on a hit by Sammy Taylor.
