Cubs win 6-3 and the Crosstown Cup is ours Cubsessed Cubs fans!

The Chicago Cubs won back the Crosstown cup for the first time since 2013. The North Siders won three out four games including Sweeping the last two games on the South Side. Starting pitcher Jon Lester took the mound today seeking his third win in a row. He pitched seven innings gave up four hits, two solo shots and struck out four. He had command of his game tonight. He even threw a strike over to first to gun down a potential base runner.

Anthony Rizzo got the party started with solo shot deep in the outfield. That was Rizzo twenty fifth home run of the year. Not to be out done by his team Captain. Kyle Schwarber helped the Cubs secure the Crosstown Cup with an offensive explosion. He went three for four with four RBI on the south side tonight. He crushed two mammoth shots to the bleachers and the Cubs never looked back. The National League Central leaders have won eleven of the last thirteen games and have a three game winning streak going.

Friday night at Milwaukee the Cubs will start LHP Jose Quintana (6-8, 4.22 ERA) against LHP Brent Suter (1-1, 2.84 ERA) for the Brewers.
