June 6, 1950 The Chicago Cubs and Brooklyn Dodgers have a back and forth game with both teams taking the lead multiple times. Andy Pafko goes 3 for 5 in the game and scores the game tying run in the 8th inning after leading off the inning with a triple. Another Cubs triple, this one from Bob Burkowski leading off the 10th inning leads to the winning run as the Dodgers walk the next two batters to load the bases loaded, but this strategy failed miserably as Jack Benta walks pinch-hitter Emile Verban for the walk-off walk as the Cubs defeat the Dodgers 7-6.
